OATBook app good for
Beautiful UI, in very soft pleasing colours and intuitive layout. The sliding calendar effect to input your daily dosage, your INR result, your appoint. or to write a note about your day is sleek and simple. Even without iCloud I still rate the app a full 5 stars because it does everything we need, but adding that service would be a bonus.
Nice simple interface. Would be good to have iCloud backup and ability to input 0.0 for doses. Overall good program.
I really adore the design of this app. And its so easy to use - although it did take me a little while to figure out how to use it. The person who made it clearly understands how the testing and dosage process work, which makes imputing information simple and intuitive.
Thank you very much for making such a wonderfully designed and thought out app!
I was hesitant to purchase this app without being able to try it, but I think it is an excellent app and worth the money! It has the features that I need... Tracking dosage, inr, and appointments. I also like the ability to configure reminders that repeat every x minutes until I record that I have taken my daily dose.
Some bad moments
The idea is great however I find the interface weak. It would be handy to have some instructions available on how to use it.
I dont review apps much, unless theyre something special--or awful--and this app falls into the special category. For those of us on blood-thinning medication, its essential to keep track of our dosage, test results, and upcoming appointments, and this app succeeds in all ways. Its a rare app: wonderfully functional and beautifully designed. Too often one gets functionality wrapped up in an ugly user interface. I had a few suggestions and the developer answered within minutes! I plan on using this app for years and look forward to seeing how this app gets even better.
I just downloaded this app a couple of days ago. I had some difficulty initially setting it up BUT with quick help responses its all set up & working incredibly well! Today I was able to quickly update my INR & new doses ... the app then extends the alternate doses until your next appointment ... eliminates errors ... did I take 6 today or was that yesterday ... GREAT App ... will help anyone on blood thinners keep accurate records quickly & efficiently. Thanks!!!
Am I confused? Cannot vary dosage daily? Not intuitive but good start. I did figure the app out once I found out you have to swipe on the date to change/add data. Dah!
Finding this saved me from having to write on myself. :) it works well enough, though there are some rough edges. It likes to remind me to take my medication even after Ive checked off. Im not sure why, but it does relent in time for bed.
I just started on warfarin/lovenox, and my clinic gave me a paper log to track INR. This does the same thing and takes out most of the busy work. I highly recommend this for anyone on anticoagulants.
